Nashville, Tennessee
Are you interested in traveling in the United States? If so, Nashville definitely deserves a spot on your list. Voted the friendliest city in the States, Nashville is a fun destination packed with all manner of activities. This is especially true if you love country music. Spend some time walking around and enjoying the atmosphere, and then maybe take a tour to the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Copenhagen, Denmark
Just as Nashville has a reputation for being friendly and welcoming in the States, Copenhagen is one of the warmest places overseas in terms of hospitality. It’s also full of interesting places to explore, easy public transportation, and boasts a very low crime rate.

Isle of Skye, Scotland
I’m personally a fan of the entire country of Scotland, there’s so much to do and explore, the people are friendly, the landscape and architecture is stunning, and everyone still speaks English. I recently visited the country on an eight day trip, and I was completely in love with Isle of Skye. It’s the largest and most northerly major island in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland, and accommodations book up months in advance. But it’s the perfect European getaway for someone who wants to spend time outdoors!

Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Sometimes know for its less savory aspects, Amsterdam is a beautiful and historic city that has a low crime rate. It’s great for solo travel, and it also offers some lovely living arrangements. Whether you want to stay in a hostel, an inn, or even a flat, you’ll find something perfectly suited to your tastes and your budget.

Santiago, Chile
Looking for a little Latin American heat? Consider visiting Santiago. The city is quite safe for individual travelers, and it’s full of churches, concert halls, and museums. Take a hike through the mountains, walk through the botanical gardens, and visit the zoo. Santiago has something for everyone!

Don’t be afraid to travel solo. Pick a destination and be adventurous! Have a favorite city or country for solo travel? We’d love to hear where you went and why it was special!
